OMT Training was set up by a group of passionate and enthusiastic practitioners, who were tired of attending below average and over priced CPD events.

Yes, the courses are open to all therapists with a recognised qualification in manual therapy, although you may be required to attend a basic course first before being allowed to access an advanced teaching weekend.

For example, if you have no experience in medical acupuncture/dry needling or spinal manipulation, then you would have to attend the basic course first and gain the relevant certification and experience before being able to access the advanced medical acupuncture and spinal manipulation weekends.

Students may already be covered through their existing professional indemnity and public liability insurance, particularly where they are qualified healthcare or allied health professionals completing the course as postgraduate CPD within their existing scope of practice.

Where additional cover is required, insurance may be available through independent insurance providers, subject to the student’s qualifications, professional scope, country of practice, declarations, policy terms and exclusions.

Students are responsible for checking with their current insurer, employer, professional body or another suitable insurance provider before using any new skill in practice. OMT Training is not an insurance provider or broker and cannot guarantee insurance cover for every student.

A course certificate confirms completion of the stated training or assessment. IAOMM accreditation relates to the course and does not confer professional registration. Neither a certificate nor accreditation automatically provides insurance or permission to practise. Your qualifications, professional scope, insurer approval and applicable local requirements must be checked separately.

Insurance requirements vary between providers and depend on your qualification, professional background, scope of practice, country of practice and the techniques you intend to use.

Many qualified therapists may already have suitable professional indemnity and public liability insurance for postgraduate CPD within their existing scope of practice. Where additional cover is required, insurance may be available through another suitable independent insurance provider, subject to that insurer’s own eligibility criteria, declarations, policy terms and exclusions.

Students are responsible for checking their own insurance position before using any new skill in practice. This includes speaking with their current insurer, employer, professional body or another appropriate insurance provider.

When attending any course run by OMT Training, it is the responsibility of all practitioners regardless of their profession or title to ensure they check and comply with all regulations / legislation / insurance which is appropriate for their specific profession or qualifications. It is your responsibility to clarify all regulation requirements to practice within their jurisdiction/borough/state/country etc.

All our courses are delivered by qualified and experienced OMT Training instructors. While we do not guarantee a specific instructor for any given course, every tutor is fully trained to deliver our accredited programs to the highest standard. Certificates issued upon course completion are signed by the company directors, Mr. Giles Gyer BSc (Hons) Osteopathy and Mr. Jimmy Michael BSc (Hons) Osteopathy & Sports Science, but this does not necessarily mean they were the tutors for your specific course. Please contact the team for further clarification or see the T&Cs. 

Due to the small teaching groups, we have a strict policy on the number of students that can attend a weekend as we want the training experience to be very hands-on and to have a one-to-one environment feel. This means that student places and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are unable to attend the course you have booked and you would like to participate on another course date, then you will need to book online again as a new participant. Due to extreme circumstances, we may move you to another course but this is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. In any case, this would be an arrangement agreed between you the participant, and OMT Training. A discretionary transfer fee of £99 may apply, subject to OMT Training agreeing the transfer.

The team aim to send joining instructions around 1-2 weeks prior to any course based in the UK, pre reading can be accessed anytime via the FREE course zone on the OMT Training online platform, Students are expected to access and complete the relevant online pre-reading before attending their practical course. This helps them prepare, understand the essential theory and get the most from their training. Pre-reading is available through the Free Courses Zone at https://online.omttraining.co.uk/. International courses, students need to contact the course organiser directly for information.  

Yes. We can re-issue certificates for a small administration charge of £25. This payment must be made via bank transfer. Replacement certificates will not, unfortunately, be issued until payment has been received.

Students receive free OMT Training membership after attending an OMT Training event. Any insurance discount or cover is subject to the insurer’s current eligibility criteria, your qualifications, scope of practice, country of practice, declarations, policy terms and exclusions. Membership does not guarantee a discount, insurance cover or permission to practise. Confirm any available membership benefit directly with your insurer.
